Experiential Graphic Designer, ESI Design

ESI Design was awarded the honor of redesigning the exhibits at the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration, telling the rich history of immigrants and their critical role in the development of our nation throughout its history. A massive amount of visual research and hierarchical organization of information was required for this content-rich, immersive museum. Through shifts in color and style of imagery in the graphic panels, media, and physical environments, the visitor is guided seamlessly from the 1550s to the present.

My primary role was to oversee the design and production of environmental graphics and interpretive panels in three exhibit halls: the Peopling of America, New Eras of Immigration, and Citizenship Gallery. I also was responsible for mapping out and developing a sitewide wayfinding system.
